Summer Day Camp

Fun, defined: horse camp at Kinni Valley.

Lately, summer day camps have become predictable. A typical camp might include potato stamp paintings, freeze tag, and maybe (if your kids are lucky) a field trip. If you’re looking for more, treat your kids to a summer experience they’ll never forget: day camp at Kinni Valley Riding Academy. Beyond learning about and riding our well-trained horses, your kids will gain confidence and pride in a safe―and fun―environment.

We know you have a lot of choices when it comes to sending your kids to camp. But, here are just a few reasons why parents choose Kinni Valley horse camp year after year:

Safety, safety, safety.
Our riding academy has an excellent safety record and a very attentive staff. We focus on our campers, giving them the individual attention and instruction they need to keep safe and cultivate a passion for horses.

Our staff.
Our camp instructors are well-trained and extremely knowledgeable: they’re the type of people who make learning fun. With our staff, your child is sure to make memories that last a lifetime.

The environment.
When you’re at Kinni Valley, you just feel good. Besides being located in a gorgeous river valley just east of the Twin Cities, the entire atmosphere at Kinni Valley is scenic and beautiful. Our stables are orderly and clean, our horses are happy and healthy, and everyone is excited to work (including the horses).

History.
We’ve offered day camps for over 15 years and are proud that the majority of our campers return (in many cases, spending several weeks in the same summer). Our campers know that each visit at Kinni Valley is a chance to expand on skills learned at previous camps, without being repetitious.

Saddle time.
Our camp is horse-specific. We spend about three hours in the saddle each day.

Student to instructor ratio.
At Kinni Valley Riding Academy, our ratio of students to instructor is superior to national standards at five to one.

New friends.
Kinni Valley hosts campers from across the United States and Europe each year. Horse camp offers the perfect opportunity for your child to have fun while making lifelong friendships with riders from all over the world.

When you want your child to become confident, have fun, and learn a new skill, send them to horse camp at Kinni Valley Riding Academy. Our camp is literally a breath of fresh air.
